Rapid React
Our most successful competition season. Aurora went 35-14-0 in official play and finished 8th in North Carolina, on a turreted shooter that could adjust trajectory in almost any direction.

Rapid ReactOffseason
YETI's first swerve drive robot, built for the 2022 offseason. Borealis ranked 9th at Doyenne with a 4-4-0 record.

Infinite Recharge
Our 2021 robot, and our first with a turret. Built for a season that COVID reshaped into at-home challenges.

Infinite Recharge
Our 2020 robot, and the season COVID cut short. We kept improving Whiteout afterwards, using it to teach rookies the electrical system and the climber.

Destination: Deep Space
Our 2019 robot. A jaws-of-life inspired disk intake gripped hatch panels, and a cascade elevator reached the third level of the rocket.

FIRST Power Up
Our 2018 robot, and our fastest to that point at 22 ft/s. Its continuous elevator raised the intake arm seven feet in two seconds.

FIRST Steamworks
Our 2017 gear robot. An active claw intake fed a storage compartment, and pneumatic ejection doors placed gears on the airship.

FIRST Stronghold
Our most decorated robot. Black Ice won the NC State Championship and the Guilford County event, and could damage every defense from the front except the drawbridge and sally port.

Recycle Rush
Our 2015 tote stacker, and the longest-serving robot we have built — Frostbyte was rebuilt for the 2016 and 2017 games and competed in all three.

Aerial Assist
Our 2014 robot, built around an air-powered catapult that could truss a ball 35 feet, with a catch frame on top for receiving passes.

Ultimate Ascent
Our 2013 frisbee robot, and one of our best autonomous performers — MoMo usually made all three high-goal shots without a driver.

Rebound Rumble
Our 2012 basketball robot. A muzzle-loaded articulating shooter fed by a multi-roller belt system, plus a pneumatic arm for dropping the bridges.

Logo Motion
Our 2011 robot. Mecanum drive, a four-bar gripper for hanging logo pieces, and a rubber-tubing minibot deployer that climbed the pole in about a second.
